Adult Counselling
We provide an affordable and confidential one-to-one counselling service for adults in Westport and surrounding areas around Louisburgh and Newport. This is a low cost community-based service specifically for individuals who are not able to afford private
counselling. The service is subsidised by the FRC with support from funders and donors. Due to high demand, there is a waiting list.
Sessions take place on Monday during the day, and clients can avail of a maximum of 24 sessions. The service is delivered by accredited and experienced therapist Jannah Walshe at a rate of €40 per session, the remainder is subsidised by the FRC.
The first session will be an initial introductory appointment to ensure you can continue, which is free of charge.
Unfortunately we do not have any evening or weekend appointments available.
If you wish to avail of our counselling service you can drop-in to the Centre in person, or you can call or email us at 098-24419/ admin@westportfrc.ie.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not provide a crisis service, Therefore, if someone is seriously contemplating suicide or in need of immediate help, they should go to their GP or another appropriate service.
