Adolescent Counselling

We provide an affordable and confidential one-to-one counselling service for adolescents aged 12-18 years (attending secondary school) in Westport and surrounding areas around Louisburgh and Newport. 

Sessions take place at the Centre on Tuesday and Thursday and clients can avail of a maximum of 24 sessions. The service is delivered by accredited and experienced therapists Annie Doyle (Tuesday) and Jannah Walshe (Thursday) at a rate of €30 per session, the remainder is subsidised by the FRC with the support of grant aid and kind donors.

This is a low cost, community-based service, subsidised by the FRC, demand can be high and there is a waiting list.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not provide a crisis service, Therefore, if someone is seriously contemplating suicide or in need of immediate help, they should go to their GP or another appropriate service.
