We operate and support community groups, including:

Buggy Buddies

A parent and baby/ toddler walking group for parents and caregivers wishing to make connections, gain peer support and get outdoors and active with their child.

When: 10am Every Monday, outside The Quay Community Centre

This project is supported by Mayo Sports Partnership and Community Education under the Mayo Sligo Leitrim Education and Training Board.

Chess & Speedcubing Club

Westport Chess Club was set up in 2023 and began with the support of the Westport Family & Community Resource Centre.

All are welcome – young and old, families, teens!

Alongside Chess Club there is SpeedCubing Club (solving a Rubiks Puzzle Cube). Cubes will be available to try out for beginners but if you have a cube at home – bring it along. There are YouTube tutorials playing for anyone new to cubing, and more experienced cubers are happy to give guidance too!

When: Saturday Morning at The Quay School in Westport, 11am – 1pm.

To attend, it is €3 per person, €6 for a family (3+ people) and refreshments are available.
